The Start Node

The Start Node is the beginning of the litigation process as it is the first decision step in the litigation. The parameters that are part of this first node reflect some permanent aspects of the whole litigation - if they apply. In detail the fields are:

ID. This is an automatic field that is given to nodes of the decision tree

Title. A name for the first decision node. By default the name given is Start. This is a mandatory field.

Date. The projected date of the commencement of the process. This is a mandatory field.

Probably of Date. A mandatory field in which the user enters his confidence on the commencement dates. The choices are Low, Medium, High or Exact.

Specialism. Mandatory field in which the user enters the specialism of the litigation.

Notes. The user can add special notes on the case or on the existing tree that they are building in order to separate it from other options.

Expectation. Usually this is a numerical value that denotes the amount that the user is expected to gain from the litigation. 

Name of Client. A mandatory field in which the client name is entered.

Court. A field for the court that is responsible for the litigation. 

Recurring monthly cost 1. If there is a specific monthly cost that is recurring each month then this can be entered here.

Recurring monthly cost 2.A different recurring monthly cost can be added separately. This is particularly useful for in house legal teams that want to calculate their in house cost towards the litigation.
