Being You

We recently read the new book 'Being You' by Anil Seth on the modern developments in neuroscience and the meaning of consciousness. In one of the chapters, Dr Seth explores the thesis of the brain working as a Bayesian statistical calculator. The premise behind this hypothesis is that the brain functions as a mechanism that statistically learns from previous mistakes and successes to estimate values and predict the outcome of future actions. And the truth is that there is no better way to do this than Bayesian statistical inferencing.

Lawptimize as you may know is based on Bayesian statistical analysis and its core function is organized around understanding the predictions and estimates that are provided by Bayesian inference. Under this logic, the litigation risk analysis performed by Lawptimize is like an extension of the thinking of the lawyers, that keeps all their previous knowledge and helps them in their future cases and decisions.
