Litigation and Game Theory

Litigation is not a game. The involved parties view it as a frustrating period in their lives that has impact in their daily routine in ways that cannot be quantified easily.

Still, the game theory is a very advanced part of mathematical analysis that provides us with algorithms that can lead to predictions or to strategies that lead to the best possible outcome for processes that require the negotiation between two parties.(Frankly, I believe that negotiation theory would have been a much better term than game theory).

In Lawptimize we are expanding our current algorithms to include game theoretical algorithms which will allow our users to strategize based on the available data and the possible outcomes of each option available and decide on the best moves of the game as the litigation progresses.

We believe that this set of algorithms will provide a set of tools that will be used by lawyers and clients on a daily basis in the process of structuring the decisions and responses in the litigation.

These algorithms will work in parallel to the existing statistical model and will be available within the next couple of months.
